Pianists to perform at IUSB

SOUTH BEND — Toradze Piano Studio musicians will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Campus Auditorium of Northside Hall, on the campus of IU South Bend.  

The studio is led by professor Alexander Toradze.  This concert will feature new studio member Siwon Kim’s South Bend debut, as she plays alongside studio veterans.

From South Korea, Siwon Kim finished her bachelors of arts degree at Seoul National University in Korea, studying under Professor Hyoung-Joon Chang.  She was a prize winner at The Suri Music Competition (2010), the Samick-Beckstein Concours (2006), and the National Students Councours (2000-03).  Kim won the Segye Times Councours and the Sungjung Cultural Foundation Concours, both in 2007.  She began studying piano at the age of 4.

Returning studio members Ignasi Cambra, Youngmi Choi, Ketevan Kartvelishvili, and Natasa Stojanovska will also perform.  

Tickets for the Toradze Piano Studio are available for $7 to $10 in advance and $9 to $12 at the door.  Students and children receive one free ticket with a valid student ID.  For tickets or more information, visit arts.iusb.edu or call the box office at 574-520-4203.
