Participants in the library’s Crafting Hope program meet bi-monthly to sew simple projects for local and global organizations. Over the past year, the group has donated hundreds of pillowcase dresses, shorts, toys, bibs, blankets and more to people locally and around the world.
Crafting Hope will meet again Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to make skirts for girls and women in need.

‘Knee High Nappanee’
What does the world look like when you’re 3 feet tall? Find out at the second-annual Knee High Nappanee children’s photography exhibit at the Nappanee Public Library Oct. 4 to 31.
This year’s assignment is to capture the Apple Festival in downtown Nappanee. Children age five to twelve can participate by attending a photography workshop at the library Sept. 13 from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Participants will hear tips on taking pictures, and one free disposable camera will be given out per child.
Children must return used cameras to the library by Monday, Sept. 17, at 5 p.m. to have their photographs included in the exhibit.

The next meeting of “The Artful Quilters” guild is Sept. 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Membership in the guild is open to anyone. Yearly dues are $15 and are used for the benefit of the guild. Those interested can attend two meetings to get acquainted before becoming members.
New cardholders and those interested in learning more about Library services are invited to a guided tour of the library Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.
