The annual Adult Reading Club has begun and continues through March 30. This year’s theme is “Groundbreaking Reads,” and anyone age 18 and older can participate.
Prizes are available. For every title read or listened to, club members can enter the weekly drawing. If a participant reads five books in a week, for example, he or she can enter the drawing five times.
The scrapbooking club will meet at the library today from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The evening knitting club will meet Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. The afternoon knitting club will meet Friday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The Milford School Science Fair is approaching. Library staffers will host workshops on Jan. 17 and 28 from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Pupils are invited to bring their boards, titles and project information and receive assistance.
A hypnosis session aimed at curbing participants’ food and beverage cravings is planned at the library.
The session, which will take place in a group setting, is set for Jan. 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. To register for this sample session, Call the library at 658-4312.

‘Yak, Snack and Read’
The “Yak, Snack and Read” book group will meet Jan. 22 at 1 p.m. to discuss “Crow Lake” by Mary Lawson. At 7 p.m. participants will talk about “How To Make An American Quilt” by Whitney Otto. “Yak” books are available at the front desk.
The public is invited to the library Tuesday at 1 p.m. to see “The Odd Life of Timothy Green”.
A “Special Family Story Time” is set at the library Wednesday at 10 a.m. Library patrons of all ages are invited.
Home School Club
On Jan. 14 at 11 a.m., Home School Club participants are invited to bring a Barbie-sized doll for a session on “Mummies.”
