Open house at Goshen Art House Saturday

GOSHEN — An open house for Goshen Art House, a newly renovated downtown venue for black box theater, indie film, music, dance and art, is set for Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m.

The event will feature an art gallery opening, live music, film, food and drink.

Ellyn Church, film house director and venue manager, heads the new independent film portion of Goshen Art House.

“Our audience spans all ages and backgrounds,” Church said. “It’s incredibly rewarding to be working in a small town that’s so supportive of the arts.”

Organizers say Goshen Art House’s mission is to provide a creative outlet for Goshen’s next generation of entrepreneurs and artists by operating a “low-barrier, high-possibility” venue for film, theater, dance, music and visual arts.

Tickets for the opening event are $50. For more information, visit the website www.goshenarthouse.com, call 574-538-2434 or email info@gah.mobi.

Art House is located at 211 S. Main St., with entry off the alley at the rear of the building. The parking lot is accessible off Third Street.
