NEW CARLISLE — The Homestead in New Carlisle will kick off its summer concert series June 28 with the jazz sounds of Bryan Lubeck and his six-piece ensemble.
Bryan Lubeck released Tuscan Sky in 2013. The album spent 16 weeks on the Smooth Jazz radio charts top 40, and two songs of his songs, “Sydney's Way” and “Tuscan Sky”, were ranked in the top 100 of Smooth Jazz for 2013.
His track "Vineyard Groove" was licensed by Microsoft to use as the theme song for the release of their new EBS server product and Hobby Lobby bought 30,000 copies of his Christmas CD "We Three Strings” to sell in their stores.
The Goshen native describes his style as “Spanish guitar and urban grooves, a combination of layers. When I play live I have a six piece band, me on guitar, rhythm guitar, keyboardist, bass player, drummer and a Latin drummer, and a sax player. It’s not a recital. We crank out some cool high-strumming stuff and full-band versions of classical guitar with funk, and we try to deliver an experience.”
Lori Kimmel, owner of Homestead 1853, is excited to start their first summer concert series with Bryan. “Having Bryan open our series is wonderful, and indicates the quality of talent we have in store for our guests this summer,” Kimmel said.
IF YOU WANT TO GO Tickets are $50 for dinner and the concert, or $20 for only the concert ($25 at the door). Tickets can be purchased at http://www.homesteadevents.com/event/bryan-lubeck-concert. The Homestead is at 33771 Chicago Trail in New Carlisle.
