GOSHEN — The Goshen College Chamber Choir, directed by Associate Professor of Music Scott Hochstetler, will present two concerts in the Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27 at 4 p.m.
Titled “Rejoice in the Lamb,” the program will be highlighted by performances of Benjamin Britten’s work of the same name, and will feature organist Kevin Vaughn. The Chamber Choir will also perform works by Maurice Duruflé, William Byrd, Hans Leo Hassler, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Stephen Paulus and more. The ensemble is accompanied by Christine Larson Seitz on piano.
The Chamber Choir is an auditioned group of 24 to 45 students performing secular and sacred music from the Medieval through modern periods. The group is open to students in all majors and grade levels. In addition to performing with local and regional orchestras, the Chamber Choir performs numerous solo concerts both on and off campus during the school year.
General admission tickets for either concert are $7 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and students, and will be available at the door beginning one hour before the concert. Goshen College faculty, staff and students will be admitted free with identification.
