An Awesome Author Contest for elementary school students is underway at the Goshen library.
Children are invited to take a photo of something they like, or use a picture from a magazine, newspaper or calendar, and write a one-page story about the picture. The story must be typed or neatly hand-written. Entries can be submitted to the Children’s Services department through April 30.
On May 1, the winning author will have his or her work displayed for one week in the Children’s Department and receive the first-ever Awesome Author library trophy. Call 537-0241 for details.
Storytime Express sessions are set for Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Stories about small creatures will be featured this week. A craft activity is planned.
This free program is geared toward preschoolers ages 2 through 5. No registration is needed.
