Concert set for Tuesday at Ignition

---- — GOSHEN — Will Johnson, with guest Ernie Hendrickson, is scheduled to perform at Ignition Garage, 120 E. Washington St., Goshen, Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

Johnson is the frontman for Centro-matic and South San Gabriel. “Scorpion” is his first solo album in eight years. Johnson has performed with Monsters of Folk, which includes M. Ward, Jim James of My Morning Jacket and Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes. He was also part of “New Multitudes,” a Woody Guthrie archives project that also feature Jim James, Anders Parker and Son Volt’s Jay Farrar.

In 2007, Hendrickson released the solo album “Down the Road,” an effort dubbed “groundbreaking” by the Illinois Entertainer. His latest album is titled “One for the Dreamers.”

“Dreamers” was recorded in Primm Springs, Tenn., with producer-drummer Chad Cromwell (Neil Young, Mark Knopfler) and songwriter-producer-bassist Kevin “Swine” Grantt (Willie Nelson).
