‘After School Is Cool’
A movie will be shown at the library Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. as part of the “After School Is Cool Tuesdays” program. Snacks will be served.
This week marks the start of the spring session for Story Time, and participants can still sign up for the program.
Story Time is intended for children ages 3 to 6, and there are three available sessions: Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. or Thursdays at 7 p.m. During each Story Time, attendees will read stories, do a craft and have a snack, all centered on a weekly theme.
This week’s theme is “This little Piggy!” “Miss Julie” will be reading “Piggy Pie Po” by Audrey and Don Wood and “Ribbit!” by Rodrigo Folgueira. Children can decorate their own piggy banks with ceramic markers and have some “Pigs in the Mud” for a snack.
The knitting club is scheduled to meet at 1:30 p.m. on April 10.
Lapsit is a program for children up to 3 years old and their caregivers. Through songs, finger plays, motion and stories, Lapsit is designed to encourage word association as well as verbal and mobility development. The theme for this spring session is “Piggies!”
Lapsit will take place Tuesdays in April at 11 a.m. beginning April 8. Sign up in the Children’s Department or call the library for more information.
Craft activities are planned at the library from April 7 to 12 in the Children’s Department.
Library staffers are in need of old silverware, old keys, wire hangers, washers and bolts for a craft project. Donations can be dropped off in the Children’s Department.
