Classic rockers and a blues-rock guitar virtuoso are scheduled to perform at two northern Indiana venues.
Classic rock group Styx is scheduled for a show at The Lerner Theatre April 3 with Head East. Johnny Winter will perform at South Bend’s Club Fever in March.
Styx first came to Midwest regional attention with its hit single “Lady”. Other hit songs for the group include “Come Sail Away,” “The Grand Illusion,” “Babe,” “Too Much Time On My Hands,” “Fooling Yourself (Angry Young Man),” “Renegade” and “Blue Collar Man.”
Head East is led by founding member/singer/songwriter/ keyboard player Roger Boyd. The band’s breakthrough album was “Flat As A Pancake,” which featured the single “Never Been Any Reason.”

Rock and blues guitarist Johnny Winter is scheduled to perform March 15 at Club Fever in South Bend. Winter will turn 70 years old later this month, and has tour dates on the books for this year across the United States and Canada, Japan, Europe and South America.
Rolling Stone magazine ranked Winter as one of the Top 100 guitar players of all time. Winter’s resume also includes having produced three Grammy Award-winning albums for blues great Muddy Waters.
Winter’s show at Club Fever will be set up theater-style, with chair seats on the main floor and tiered seating on both sides of the stage and in the balcony.
