Storytime Express sessions are set for Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. “Books about books” is the theme this week. The event will include stories and a craft. This free program is geared for preschoolers ages 2 to 5. No registration is needed.
“Spring” Mother Goose Mondays Baby Lapsit sessions start today and run through May 19. Lapsit takes place at 10:30 a.m. Rhymes, stories and fingerplays are planned. The activity is for children up to 2 years old and their parents or caregivers. No registration is necessary for this free program.
The First Grade Book Club will meet Wednesdays in the Children’s Storyhour Room from 4 to 5 p.m.
Staffers with the Elkhart Community Schools Adult Education Program are offering preparation classes for the Indiana High School Equivalency Exam (previously the GED) at the Goshen library.

The new group String Theory is planning to meet on the second and fourth Saturdays in March. Anyone 8 years old and older is invited to meet to work on knitting, crocheting and string craft projects. The next meeting is set for this coming Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Young people are invited to a roundtable discussion to role-play the characters from the “Percy Jackson” series Tuesday. The gathering will take place during the young adult book club meeting at 5 p.m. Anyone in the sixth through 12th grade is invited to participate and earn a Sponsor button. Characters from the “Heroes of Olympus” series will also be accepted. Applesauce cake will be provided.
