“Tale Feathers” is the theme for Story Hour set for March 3 and 4 at 10:15 a.m. at the Wakarusa library. The program is for children ages 3 to 5 years. Registration is required. An activity using the parachute will take place.
Book Bites sessions are scheduled for March 5 and 6 at 10:15 a.m. This is a story time for children ages 3 to 5. No registration is required.
A Young Adult Book Discussion will take place Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Students in grades six to eight can register to attend. Participants will compare the book “The Watsons Go to Birmingham” to the movie of the same name.
An extra Adult Bookends Book Club session will take place March 6 at 6:30 p.m. Participants should arrive prepared to share their favorite book and favorite recipe. Registration is required.
“The War of 1812 and the Rise of the U.S. Navy” by Mark Collins Jenkins is given in memory of Herbert Maust by the High School Class of 1946.
“The World Famous Bucking Horse Sale” by Sneed B. Collard III is given by the Wakarusa High School class of 1946 in memory of Kate Anderson.
