Puppet project planned

Children up to 36 months old are invited to enjoy stories, rhymes, songs and fingerplays.

Soul Ink

The Soul Ink Writers’ Group will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The group is designed to provide constructive criticism and empathetic support to writers at all levels. Authors of all ages and working in all genres are invited to attend.

Teen program

Teens meet for activities at the library every Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Story Times

Gisela Vore and Esther DeJulia — also known as Miss Gisela and Miss Esther — will be providing Story Times for preschoolers and their caregivers. Story Times will begin March 3 and 4 at 10:30 a.m. and continue to the last week of April.

Book club

The Wednesday evening “One Book, One Hour” adult book club is reading the John Steinbeck biographical adventure “Travels With Charley.”

Evergreen payments

The Evergreen system was recently upgraded. The most significant change is that patrons can now pay fines at a secure site over the Internet. Patrons can use a credit or debit card to pay their fines. The entire fine must be paid in full and a surcharge is assessed.

Film festival

A Foreign Film Festival is scheduled at the library March 2, 9 and 16 at 2 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Contact Kim at the library for more information.

Craft activities

A Teen Craft Night for students in grades six through 12 is set for March 6 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Other craft activities will take place on the first Thursday of every month this spring. Call Kelsey at the library for more information.

Spring programs

Kids Pre-School Spring Programs are planned.

Books and Babies sessions for children up to 18 months old will take place at 11 a.m. Thursdays. Toddler Time sessions for children 18 to 36 months old will meet Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting March 4 and 5 at 10 a.m. Pre-School Story Time for children 3 to 5 years old will meet Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting March 4 and 5 at 11 a.m.

  • LIBRARY NEWS: Hypnotherapist coming to Syracuse Angie Hernandez, certified Hypnotherapist, is presenting a session on using Emotional Freedom Technique, also called tapping, on from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. People are invited to a free class to experiment with this technique for self-healing. Nick Ortner, author of The Tapping Solution, says EFT is a type of meridian tapping that combines ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology. Tapping utilizes the body’s energy meridian points by stimulating them with your fingertips.
