Fluharty-Stanger

GOSHEN — Tracy Fluharty and J.W. Stanger, both of Goshen, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Linda Hollandsworth, Elkhart, and the late Raymond Fluharty.

She graduated in 2004 from Goshen High School and served in the United States Army from 2004 to 2009. She received a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from the University of Indianapolis in 2012. She works as an outreach and enrollment coordinator at Community Action of Northeast Indiana, Elkhart.

The groom-to-be is the son of Zoe and Wayne Stanger, Goshen.

He graduated in 1998 from Fairfield High School, Goshen, and in 2004 received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette. He works as a plant technical manager at Rieth-Riley, Goshen.

They plan to marry Dec. 7 at the Old Bag Factory in Goshen.

Three Goshen elementary schools — Chandler, Chamberlain and West Goshen — are providing free meals to all students during the school year as part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Community Eligibility Provision of the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. Nearly 80 percent of students at Chandler, 89 percent of students at Chamberlain and 78 percent of students at West Goshen already qualify for free or reduced-price lunches based on their family income. How do you feel about the new lunch program?
