Beachy-Antosh

Jade Beachy and Brandon Antosh, both of Detroit, Mich., announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Cathy and Dr. Michael Beachy, Goshen.

She graduated in 2008 from Goshen High School and in 2012 received a bachelor’s degree in women’s studies with a minor in theater from Purdue University, West Lafayette. She plans to receive a master’s degree in educational psychology in August from Wayne State University, Detroit. She works as a behavioral consultant for children with autism for Children’s Hospital, Novi, Mich.

The groom-to-be is the son of Teresa Brackell, Grosse Ile, Mich., and Brian Antosh, Woodhaven, Mich.

He graduated from Woodhaven High School in 2003 and received a bachelor’s degree in finance and management in 2012 from the University of Michigan, Dearborn, Mich. He is employed as a financial analyst for Quicken Loans in Detroit.

They plan to marry in 2015.

There has been discussion at West Goshen Elementary School to require mandatory student uniforms in the future. How do you feel about the prospect of mandatory student uniforms in a public school environment?

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
