Hoober-Leichty

— Kristen Hoober, Goshen, and Mark Leichty, Ames, Iowa, announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mary Jane Hoober, Shipshewana, and the late Aaron Hoober.
She graduated in 1990 from Bethany Christian High School, Goshen, and in 1992 from Hesston College, Hesston, Kan., with an associates degree in liberal arts. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work in 1994 from Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Va.
She is minister of youth and young adults at College Mennonite Church, Goshen.
The groom-to-be is the son of Ruth and Lowell Leichty, Coralville, Iowa.
He graduated in 1987 from Iowa Mennonite High School, Kalona, Iowa, and from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
He is employed by Ames Engineering, Ames, Iowa.
A July 26 wedding is planned at College Mennonite Church.
