Tuesday’s primary also marks the first local election to utilize voting centers instead of voting precincts. Traditionally county officials have relied on 117 polling places throughout the county. Residents had to vote at their assigned polling location based on where they lived.
THOSE POLLING PLACES have been replaced by 25 vote centers that will be open to all eligible voters, who can cast their votes at the center most convenient to them. We support this move and are confident the process will run smoothly and more efficiently. We know change can sometimes be difficult, but we hope that no voter is discouraged from voting because of this new process. There have been plenty of changes on how we vote over the years. This is just another.
So, get out there on Tuesday and do your duty by casting your vote.
