With each contribution added up to date, the Elkhart County Parks staff needs less than $5,700 to reach its project goal of $130,500. That is simply amazing. The effort and sacrifice by thousands of community members proves that goodness indeed rises from the ashes of darkness.
IF YOU’D STILL LIKE to be part of the tower’s resurrection, we encourage you to participate in the March for the Tower at 2 p.m. March 23 at Ox Bow. It will feel like spring by then … right? If not, just bundle up and we can finish up this fund raising yet this month.
With the help of the community, and the in-kind services of Ancon Construction and RW Armstrong, the Ox Bow Tower will soon stand tall again for all of us to enjoy, this time as a beacon of what we can accomplish when we all work together.
Want to help? The March for the Tower will take place at 2 p.m. March 23 at Ox Bow County Park. The march will include a one-mile and three-mile walk. Cost is a minimum pledge of $10 per person. Those collecting more than $100 in pledges will have their names entered in a drawing to win a gift basket. For more information or to receive a pledge sheet, visit www.elkhartcountyparks.org or www.2rrc.org or call 574-535-6458.
