Volunteers make the Fourth of July special

Happy Fourth of July!
We hope you will be taking time today to honor the founders of our country and how their boldness of kicking the King of England’s representatives out of the colonies has led to our universal personal liberty.

Independence Day is a uniquely American holiday. We celebrate with parades, barbecues, corn roasts, trips to the beach and top the day off with fireworks. Nowhere are those American traditions more evident than in Goshen and in the surrounding communities.
Two premier 4th events locally are the Freedom Fest and the Celebrate America event. Out at the airport the Freedom Fest will showcase America’s aviation history. At the Black Squirrel Golf Course, Al Lane and his crew of volunteers will put on another memorable show of patriotic music and fireworks.

As these events unfold, and if you attend, take time to shake hands with organizers and thank them for their dedication to putting on these wonderful events. Our community has been greatly enriched by the annual efforts of the volunteers who bring us Freedom Fest and Celebrate America. We thank them and wish them a wonderful Fourth of July.
