Thefts, burglaries reported

Goshen police recently investigated several reports of thefts and burglaries, including:

• Valentina Brown, Goshen, told Goshen police she had $170 taken from her purse while she was assisting a patient at Courtyard Healthcare, 2400 College Ave., Goshen, between 8 and 8:30 a.m. Friday.

• Forestean Lewis, Goshen, told Goshen police she received a fraudulent check as payment for a computer she listed on Craig’s List at approximately noon Feb. 6.

• Corey Sullivan, Goshen, told Goshen police someone stole his Apple iPhone 4 at approximately 5:17 p.m. Friday.

• Loss prevention officers with Walmart, 4024 Elkhart Road, Goshen, told Goshen police three juveniles took two bottles of alcohol and left the store without paying at approximately 7:45 p.m. Friday.

• Melissa L. Guerrero, 33, 24320 Lynn Drive, Elkhart, was arrested by Goshen police at 10:09 p.m. Friday at Meijer, 4522 Elkhart Road, Goshen,on a charge of theft. She was released on a memorandum to appear in court.

Traffic arrests

• Erin R. Cooper, 32, 58904 Huntley Court, Goshen, was arrested by Goshen police on a charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license at 4:33 p.m. Thursday during a traffic stop in the 800 block of Lincolnway East for failing to indicate a turn prior to 200 feet. She was released at the scene with ticket and a court date.

• Amanda M. McPherson, 27, 484 Broadmore Estates, Goshen, was arrested by Goshen police on a charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license at 11:42 p.m. Thursday. She was released at the scene with a court date after a traffic stop in the 200 block of E. Lincoln Avenue for driving left of center and unsafe lane movement.

• Jose Paredes-Ortiz, 27, 822 S. 12th St., Goshen, was arrested by Goshen police at 10:55 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Main and Pike streets on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while never having received a driver’s license. He was released on a memorandum to appear in court.

• James Whitesides, 25, 214 Stonewall Court, Apt. 1, Nappanee, was arrested by Goshen police at 1:43 a.m. Friday in the 2300 block of Lincolnway East on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. He was released on a memorandum to appear in court.

• Auturo Gutierrez-Jeronimo, 27, 416 Johnston St., Apt. 2, Goshen, was arrested by Goshen police at 4:16 a.m. Saturday in the 3200 block of Elkhart Road on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while never having received a driver’s license. He was released on a memorandum to appear in court.

• Agustina Hernandez-Hernandez, 36, 358 N. Nappanee St., Apt. A, Nappanee, was arrested by Elkhart County police at 3:05 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Hively and Benham avenues on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while never having received a driver’s license. She was booked into the county jail.

Alcohol/drug arrests

• Emily May Parsons, 23, 15225 Coon Hollow Road, Three Rivers, Mich., was arrested by Elkhart County police  at 10 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of C.R. 17 and C.R. 18 on charges of dealing and possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. She was booked into the county jail.

OWI arrests

• Bernadette Wadley, 24, 1305 W. Vistula St., Bristol, was arrested by Goshen police at 2:51 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Bashor and Elkhart roads on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. She was booked into the county jail.
