THE GOSHEN NEWS

— Early Wednesday morning, officers from multiple law enforcement agencies met and organized to serve 22 warrants, including two for individuals from the Topeka area. Arrested were Jerid L. Becker, 31, Topeka, on two counts of dealing methamphetamine, a class A felony, and Judy A. Hershberger, 55, Topeka, on a charge of receiving stolen property, a class D felony.

All defendants are expected to make their initial court appearance today through the Noble County Court system.

Theft/burglary reports

• Daniel Wilham, 2110 Lisa Ct., Goshen, told Goshen police a handgun was stolen sometime between August 2012 and Tuesday.

• Nichole Paulson, Elkhart, told Goshen police her cell phone was stolen while at 909 E. Kercher Road at 11:24 a.m. Tuesday.

• Mary Nonnemacher, Goshen, told Goshen police she received several texts from someone claiming she had won a prize and asking for her credit card number at 2:48 p.m. Tuesday.

• Michael Norton, 24, told Elkhart County police someone stole two prescription medications from his backpack while at 2703 C.R. 36, Goshen, between noon and 4:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Assault/battery reports

• Donl Griffey, 42, 1811 College Manor, Apt. C, Goshen, was arrested by Goshen police at 6:16 p.m. Tuesday at his residence on a charge of domestic battery. He was booked into the county jail.

• An employee of Bashor Children’s Home, 62226 C.R. 15, Goshen, told Elkhart County police two juvenile males punched staff members and battered another juvenile at the facility, causing pain, abrasions and unconsciousness at 7 p.m. Monday.

Vandalism/criminal mischief reports

• Adam Wilburn, Goshen, told Goshen police he noticed damage to the Faubion Building, 715 E. Lincoln Ave., at approximately 4:48 p.m. Monday.

• Theresa Tirotta, 254 Oak St., Bristol, told Elkhart County police someone slashed the driver’s side tires on her vehicle while parked at her residence between 4 p.m. Monday and noon Tuesday.

Traffic arrests

• Loreto Soto-Rodriguez, 48, 32 Roxbury Park, Goshen, was arrested by Elkhart County police at 5:33 a.m. Monday at the intersection of C.R. 30 and C.R. 15 on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while never having received a driver’s license. He was booked into the county jail.

• Francisco Saucedo, 28, 309 Crescent St., Goshen, was arrested by Elkhart County police at 6 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Main and Pike streets on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while never having received a driver’s license. He was booked into the county jail.

• Carlos J. Olvera, 24, 505 E. Washington, Apt. B, Goshen, was arrested by Elkhart County police at 11:48 p.m. Monday at the intersection of C.R. 17 and C.R. 18 in Elkhart on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while never having received a driver’s license. He was booked into the county jail.
