Middlebury police are asking the public for information about several mailboxes that were damaged or destroyed in the area of Shoemaker Drive and Somerset Drive in Middlebury. The incident occurred between 3 and 7 a.m. Saturday.
An 18-year-old Elkhart driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash at C.R. 22 and C.R. 26 near Elkhart Saturday. According to Elkhart County police, the collision occurred at 11:33 a.m. Megan Brooke Moore, 18, Elkhart, was driving a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan when she entered the intersection in front of a 19999 Toyota Sienna driven by Conrad M. Shreiner, 17, Mishawaka. Moore was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment of pain in neck and legs and was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way at the intersection.
A driver was injured in a two-vehicle collision at U.S. Hwy 33 and C.R. 40 near Goshen Friday. The crash occurred at 3:08 p.m. According Elkhart COunty police, a 1998 Ford F150 driven by Robert Coy, 42, Syracuse, went around a vehicle that was waiting to turn and collided with a 2001 Chrysler Sebring driven by Donna Hall, 49, Ligonier. Hall was transported to IU Health Goshen Hospital for complaint of chest, neck and back pain. Coy was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.
• Goshen police were dispatched to 201 N. Indiana Avenue in reference to a stolen mo-ped from 2013 that was located Friday. The theft occurred Aug. 1, 2013.
• An asset protection employee for Wal-Mart Supercenter, 2304 Lincolnway East, Goshen, reported the theft of hand-tools to GOshen police at 9:51 p.m. Friday. The employee chased the accused until he jumped into a tan Ford truck on Lincolnway East. The items were recovered and a report was taken.
• Anthony W. Amaya, 702 S. Eighth St., Goshen, told Goshen police someone took his 2000 Ford Expedition without permission at 9:04 p.m. Friday.
