A motorcyclist was injured when the motorcycle they were on collided with a pony at C.R. 3 and C.R. 30, near Wakarusa at 12:55 a.m. Sunday.
According to Elkhart County police, a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Ronald Donovan, 53, Nappanee, was traveling south on C.R. 3 at C.R. 30 near Wakarusa, when a pony entered the road. Donovan couldn’t stop in time and laid the motorcycle on its side. He was transported to the hospital for lacerations to the head. No citations were issued.
Two people injured in motorcycle crash
A motorcyclist and his passenger were injured after losing control of the bike at Ind. 120 and York Hills Drive, near Middlebury.
According to Elkhart County police, William Wheeler, 42, Elkhart, was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson Road King west on Ind. 120, approaching York Hills Drive near Middlebury. The officer said Wheeler over-corrected and lost control of the motorcycle when he spotted another vehicle approach from York Hills Road. The other vehicle did not pull out, police said, but approached the intersection and stopped.
The two were ejected off the motorcycle before it came to rest.
Wheeler and his passenger, Dawn R. Lucas, 44, New Carlisle, were transported to Elkhart General Hospital for lacerations to head and arms. No citations were issued.
• Elkhart County police contacted Goshen police regarding forged checks being used on an account belonging to a Goshen resident. An investigation found the checks were possibly stolen approximately a month ago during a burglary in the 400 block of East Wilden Avenue and the theft was not reported. Elkhart County police are investigating the forgery.
• Eli Miller of Millersburg reported a lost wallet at 7-Eleven, 2220 Elkhart Road, Goshen, to Goshen police at 7:55 a.m. Friday.
• Jesus Gonzalez, Goshen, told Goshen police someone stole the license plate from his 1997 Lincoln while he was on vacation between June 27 and Saturday.
