Driver breaks wrist in wreck

A Goshen driver was injured in a two-car crash at U.S. Hwy 20, west of Ind. 15 near Bristol. The crash occurred at 2:07 p.m. Wednesday. Kenneth Dean Plott, 54, Niles, was driving a 1999 Kenworth truck cab and turning into the private driveway of Speedway, 18500 U.S. Hwy 20. He struck a 1997 Pontiac driven by Jessica Fireline, 30, Goshen on the driver’s side. She was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for laceration to the left hand, a broken left wrist and complaint of pain in both knees. Plott was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.

Incorrigible reports

• Several neighbors in the 300 and 400 blocks of W. Wilden Avenue called Goshen police reporting a domestic situation in the 400 block of W. Wilden Avenue at 8:02 a.m. Wednesday. The situation was between a father and son and police found an incorrigible youth.

Theft/burglary reports

• Robert Lamberson, 900 W. Pike St., Goshen, told Goshen police someone stole a bicycle at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

• Abel Garcia, 120 Brookside Manor, Goshen, told Goshen police someone stole personal items from his residence between 1 p.m. Sunday and Wednesday.

Drug/alcohol arrests

• Deshawn C. Howard, 33, 116 N. Arcade Apt. B, Elkhart, was arrested by Goshen police on a charge of public intoxication while walking in circles in the area of Ninth and Washington streets in  Goshen at 10:03 a.m. Wednesday. He was transported to the Elkhart County jail.

  • Police news: Several arrested on charges of drunken driving • Lori L. Ellis, 48, 12778 N. 300 East, Syracuse, was arrested by Goshen police on a charge of driving while intoxicated at 1:35 a.m. Sunday. Ellis was stopped for a traffic stop at Dierdorff and Kercher Roads in Goshen for driving left of center and transported to the Elkhart County jail.
