THE GOSHEN NEWS

According to Syracuse Police Chief Tony Ciriello, police were called to Lake Street north of Main Street around 11:16 p.m. There, William J. Rose, 24, and Matthew S. Rhodes, 22, were allegedly taking turns firing shots into the air with a .9mm semi-automatic handgun.

Police said that 11 shots were fired.

Ciriello said the men got the gun from a vehicle and were standing in the middle of Lake Street as they were firing off shots.

Both men were booked into Kosciusko County Jail on charges of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and held on $5,000 bond.

Ciriello said that as of Friday afternoon, no reports of damage from the stray bullets were reported.
