Elkhart County Interdiction & Covert Enforcement officers served a search warrant Wednesday night at an Elkhart home and arrested two residents on drug charges.
Police went to a home at 1008 Princeton Street, Elkhart, at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, where they arrested Anthony McBride, 26, and Cedric McBride, 34, of that address. Both face charges of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, a Class A felony, and possession of marijuana, a Class D felony.
Officers said they recovered more than 2,000 grams of marijuana, more than 40 grams of cocaine, a loaded handgun and $2,196 in cash at the home. The investigation is continuing.
One hurt in crash
A two-vehicle crash injured a Warsaw woman in Goshen Wednesday.
Goshen police said the collision occurred at 1:53 p.m. on Elkhart Road (U.S. 33) at Greene Road. A 2006 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Chelsea Bontrager, 25, Goshen, collided with the rear of a 2006 Pontiac Torrent driven by Debra Marks, 54, Warsaw.
Marks suffered neck pain as a result of the crash.
jailed on warrant
Goshen police were called to a home at 108 N. Seventh St. at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on a report of a domestic dispute. After police arrived, they discovered a warrant for the arrest of Orlando Tirado-Zuniga, 26, and booked him into the county jail.
Girl shot in leg with BB
Goshen police received a report of a juvenile girl being accidently shot in her leg with a BB gun while at Burdick Street Park at 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Goshen man faces intimidation charge
Goshen police reported the arrest of Eduardo Chirino, 20, 422 E. Jefferson St., at his home on charges of intimidation after police were called to a reported child custody dispute. Chirino was booked at the county jail.
