A one-vehicle crash injured two men — one critically — south of Leesburg Tuesday.
The mishap occurred on C.R. 150 West just south of C.R. 400 North around 5 p.m. Kosciusko County police said Michael S. Thomas, 29, Warsaw, was driving north in a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro when the vehicle went off the east side of the road, striking a fence, several wooden posts and a tree. Witnesses told police the vehicle appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed.
Thomas was pinned inside the wreckage, suffering from a severe head injury. He was extricated by emergency responders and airlifted to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne in critical condition.
A passenger in the vehicle, Joseph G. Haupert, 20, Claypool, suffered head injuries in the crash and was transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne in serious condition.

The mishap occurred around 7:20 a.m. at the intersection of C.R.s 1 and 26. Elkhart County police said a 2014 Ford Edge driven by Donnie Weatherholt, 37, Osceola, collided with a 2003 GMC Yukon driven by Jennifer Feenstra, 41, Osceola. The impact caused the Yukon to roll over several times.
Feenstra suffered neck and back pain and a small laceration on her right hand due to the crash. Five passengers in the Yukon were also hurt. Mason Feenstra, 15, suffered back and shoulder pain and a bloody nose; Savannah Feenstra, 13, had a laceration on the top of her head and on her right hand; Tanner Feenstra, 12, suffered chest pain and an abrasion on his chest and stomach due to the seatbelt; Chase Feenstra, 9, suffered back and shoulder pain and a seatbelt abrasion on the stomach area; and Easton Feenstra, 7, suffered back pain and a laceration on the left hand. All the Feenstras were transported to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment.
