A passenger in Holt’s vehicle, Erika Ash, 28, Elkhart, suffered abdominal pain as a result of the collision. Stahley and Helmlinger both suffered head pain. Holt was unhurt.
Police said Hold was issued a citation.
• A driver was hurt in a one-vehicle crash Thursday on Goshen’s Plymouth Avenue, east of Indiana Avenue.
The mishap occurred around 2 p.m. Goshen police said Eric L. Leatherman, 44, Goshen, was driving east in a 1998 Nissan Altima. The vehicle went off the south side of the road and down a steep embankment before striking a tree.
Leatherman suffered leg pain as a result of the crash.
• Police arrested two men after a raid on a Country Squire Estates home in Topeka Friday.
LaGrange County police said the raid occurred around 9:15 p.m. at 335 North St. Lot 41. Officers waited until that time due to the large number of children in the area out trick-or-treating.
During a search of the home, police reportedly found a one-pot methamphetamine lab, methamphetamine, meth precursors and paraphernalia, and several hypodermic needles.
Police arrested Christopher D. Hollowell, 33, 335 North St. Lot 41, Topeka, and Justin M. Harrington, 28, 246 N. 600 West, Albion, on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a park or family housing complex, a Class A felony; possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a park or family housing complex, a Class A felony; and possession of precursors with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, a Class D felony. In addition, Hollowell was arrested on a charge of maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony, and Harrington was arrested on a charge of visiting a common nuisance, a Class A misdemeanor.
Both men were incarcerated in the LaGrange County jail.
The raid followed a joint investigation between the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department, the Topeka Police Department and the LaGrange County Prosecutor’s Office over the past several weeks.
