Six arrested on

drug charges

LAGRANGE — Six people were arrested on drug charges after police raids Sunday at two sites in LaGrange.

According to LaGrange County police, the Indiana multi-agency group enforcement drug task force executed a search warrant at 11 a.m. at a motel in the 400 block of South Detroit Street where they arrested two people, seized several grams of methamphetamine, along with some marijuana, prescription drugs and cash.

Arrested were Brandon Wicker, 28, Albion, and Melissa Case, 25, Wabash. They were arrested on charges of drug possession and maintaining a common nuisance.

Police then went to an apartment at 216 E. Spring St. and arrested four people and reportedly seized methamphetamine, marijuana, cash and methamphetamine labs.

Those four people arrested and their charges are: Orvan Lambright, 27, LaGrange, dealing and possessing meth and possessing marijuana; Robert Patrick, 40, LaGrange, dealing and possessing meth and possession of marijuana; Brandon Watts, 20, Ligonier, vising a common nuisance; and Kristine Caudill, 27, Howe, possession of meth and visiting a common nuisance.

All six were incarcerated at the LaGrange County jail.



Driver injured

One driver was hurt in a three-vehicle crash at C.R.s 31 and 38 at 5:44 a.m. Thursday.

According to a report by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, Linda Mounsey, 49, Leesburg, was northbound on C.R. 31 om a 1994 Acura and David Hochstetler, 65, Topeka, was westbound on C.R. 38 in a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer. The two vehicle collided and then the Mounsey vehicle struck a 2005 Columbia driven by Roger Stabler, 55, Bristol.

Mounsey had knee pain after the crash.



DWI arrests

• According to a report by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, Bruce M. Thaler, 59, 50545 Darlene St., Elkhart, was arrested at Ind. 19 and C.R. 4 at 12:52 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of driving while intoxicated, a Class D felony. He was incarcerated at the Elkhart County Jail. Bond was set at $10,000.

• Quinn G. Lavery, 21, 3204 East Lake, Elkhart, was stopped at Higgins Boulevard and Freda Lane in Elkhart at 3:30 a.m. Thursday for not signaling a turn in the vehicle he was driving, according to police. He was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated. He was incarcerated at the Elkhart County Jail.
