Driver hurt in fiery crash

THE GOSHEN NEWS

An Elkhart driver had minor injury in a crash at U.S. 20, west of U.S. 33, at 10:05 p.m. Monday.

According to a report by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, Valerie Seal, 33, Elkhart, was driving a 1993 Oldsmobile east on U.S. 20 when the car went off the south side of the road and struck rocks in a ditch.

The car ignited and was engulfed in flames when Concord Township firefighters arrived.

Seal escaped the burning car, but suffered lower back pain. She declined to be taken to a hospital for treatment.
