GOSHEN — The owners of Ben’s Soft Pretzels opened their new Goshen location Wednesday, serving up fresh, hot pretzels to eager customers.

Managing partner Brian Krider said the company is excited to be a part of the Goshen community now.

“We have a lot of fans that have been asking for Goshen,” he said. “We’re very tight in the community.”

Krider cited the company’s involvement in the Goshen community through sponsoring Little League, fundraising and First Fridays.

The store serves two purposes for the small but growing company, Krider said. One is that it will serve Goshen through its retail operation, as well as serving as the company’s headquarters and corporate office.

Krider said the company is expanding, having sold four franchise locations in Valparaiso, Michigan City, Fort Wayne and West Lafayette.

The Goshen building will serve as the training facility for all new Ben’s franchises, Krider said.

“We’re going to call this Ben’s University,” he said. “Because this is where all of our training for our franchises will be as well.”

The company is enjoying its success and opportunity it has with its new location.

“We’ve been very blessed,” Krider said. “This was a central location, a perfect location and the community is great. We love being a part of Goshen.”

The store is located at 1202 W. Pike St., Goshen and the hours are Wednesday and Thursday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
