GOSHEN — Indiana Community Bank, 511 W. Lincoln Ave., Goshen, has been renamed as Talmer West Bank.
According to Shellie Maitre, chief marketing officer with Talmer Bank and Trust, the Indiana Community Bank locations in both Goshen and Elkhart were acquired by Talmer Bancorp Inc. on Jan. 1.
“With its acquisition, Indiana Community Bank will now be known as Talmer West Bank, a subsidiary of Talmer Bancorp Inc. Everything else stays the same,” Maitre said of the change, noting that current customers of the bank will be able to continue their banking at the facility with no interruption or change in services. “Everything else stays the same. The people are staying the same, the locations are the same... It’s pretty much just business as usual.”
The sign in front of the bank was changed Thursday.
Talmer Bancorp, formerly First Michigan Bancorp, is a $4.5 billion banking institution based out of Troy, Mich. Talmer Bancorp is the third largest bank headquartered in Michigan, operating 87 branches and 20 loan production offices throughout the Midwest.
