Jayco Corp. buys paint business
Jayco Corp. has purchased Herremans Custom Paint & Graphics in Elkhart.
According to information from Jayco, Herremans will serve as an additional resource to help meet the needs of Jayco and Entegra Coach motorhomes.
Derald Bontrager, Jayco Corp. president and chief executive officer, said, “With a high demand for paint facilities in the area, the acquisition of Herremans will allow Jayco the accessibility and freedom to initiate changes, increase production and grow the work force as necessary to meet the needs of the rising demand for our motorhomes.”
The acquisition was completed on May 30. No interruption of operations is expected during the transition, according to Jayco.
Jayco is a recreational vehicle manufacturer located in Middlebury owned by the Bontrager family.
Lippert has Down Under deal
Lippert Components Inc., a manufacturer of parts for the recreational vehicle industry, has agreed to give Coast to Coast Caravan & Leisure exclusive rights to sell and distribute LCI Schwintek In-Wall Slide-Out systems and other RV products in the Australian and New Zealand caravan markets. Coast to Coast is one of Australia’s largest aftermarket suppliers of RV and leisure products, and has five warehouse locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Auckland, New Zealand, according to an announcement from Lippert.
“We are ecstatic that Coast to Coast has selected LCI for this exclusive relationship,” said LCI Chief Executive Officer Jason Lippert. “We have a broad line of innovative products with great potential in the Australian and New Zealand caravan markets, and we expect introducing our Schwintek In-Wall Slide-Out systems and other products will be a catalyst for growth and new product development to meet the unique needs of these markets.”
According to Lippert information, the company has been selling into the Australian RV market for many years.
