GOSHEN — Jason Mills has opened a new public relations firm in Goshen.
Located above the Electric Brew at 118 E. Washington St., Mills said his company offers a full range of public relations services, including press release writing and editing, digital press packet creation, crisis communications planning, online reputation management, copywriting, social media setup and maintenance.
“I do public relations and everything connected to public relations,” Mills said.
Mills is a Marine Corps veteran and served in the public affairs branch of that service. He then earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado and married Elizabeth Mohney of Goshen. They lived for a while in the Washington, D.C. area while Jason was employed as a public relations specialist for a government agency.
“We decided to come back here and start my own PR firm,” Jason said of his most recent career change. He opened his Goshen office at the first of the year.
He complimented Goshen’s recent resurgance after the recession.
“I am seeing a lot of small business emerging from the storm and a lot of small businesses starting,” he said.
And he would like to focus his efforts on helping small businesses with their public relations.
“A lot of people don’t see the return a PR firm can bring,” Mills said. “I am hoping to change some hearts and minds.”
