ALBION — A family function had a rough ending when one brother shot another in the right thigh Sunday, according to Noble County police.

Weston R. Perry, Albion, shot his brother in the thigh with a .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol that was brought to the event by another family member around 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon, according to a police news release.

Perry believed the gun was an “Airsoft” type of weapon prior to shooting his brother, the release said.

The victim was transported to Parkview Noble Hospital, and then later to Parkview Regional Hospital for additional treatment, the release said. The case has been forwarded to the Noble County Prosecutor’s office for review, according to police.
