Ohio man dies from swimming injuries

BIG CHAPMAN LAKE — An Ohio man died Monday at 7 a.m. after a swimming mishap at Big Chapman Lake Saturday. Indiana Conservation officers were dispatched to Big Chapman Lake in Kosciusko County at 6 p.m. in a swimming incident involving Bradley Heyne, 26, Coldwater, Ohio.

According to police, he was swimming with friends when he dove head first off a boat striking his head on the shallow sandbar. Other boaters pulled the unresponsive Heyne to shore and CPR was immediately initiated and taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Note: Police originally reported that the incident occurred on Lake Wawasee.

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
