Second suspect held for two murders at C-store

ELKHART — A second man has been arrested in connection with a double murder at an Elkhart convenience store.

Elkhart police said they have arrested Richard Carl Gross, 22, of Elkhart, on a charge of murder. Police said they made the arrest Friday at 8:30 p.m. in the 26000 block of Leland Road.

Gross is being charged in the murders of Jagtar Bhatti, 55, and Pawan Singh, 20, who were found shot to death inside Saleh’s Market, 410 Middlebury St., on Sept. 5 at 9:33 a.m.

The next day police arrested Kevin Moore, 28, Elkhart on charges of murder in the case.
