ADEC Ride-A-Bike Saturday

DUNLAP — This year’s ADEC Ride-A-Bike — the 41st — will get started Saturday at Concord High School.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the ride starting at 10. Cyclists can choose from 20-mile, 9-mile and 5-mile rides. A walking course will also be available. Food and other refreshments will be provided.

Registration forms are available at Elkhart-area 1st Bank locations, For more information, call 574-848-7451 or 342-8954, or visit www.adecinc.com to get a pledge form online. ADEC assists children and adults who have cognitive or developmental disabilities.

There has been discussion at West Goshen Elementary School to require mandatory student uniforms in the future. How do you feel about the prospect of mandatory student uniforms in a public school environment?

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
I think it’s a bad idea and would be restrictive for students and parents.
