NEW PARIS — Elkhart County police are looking for two men who robbed an elderly couple south of New Paris Monday night.

The robbery took place around 9:40 p.m. at a home in the 71000 block of Ind. 15. Two men forced their way into the residence, home to an 82-year-old man and a 78-year-old woman. Police said the robbers struck the man with a metal object and took money, guns and electronics from the residence.

The 82-year-old was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police reported.

The robbers were described as two tall, slender black males, possibly around 40 years old.
