Two men were arrested on charges of public indecency at an Elkhart County park and a third man is under investigation.
Elkhart County Sheriff Brad Rogers said Keith Hurst, 55, New Paris and Ivan Ramirez-Miramontes, 36, Goshen, have been arrested. Hurst was arrested Oct. 17 and Ramirez-Miramontes was arrested Oct. 17, according to information on the department’s jail website. The sheriff announced the arrests Saturday night.
“The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department is announcing the conclusion of an operation in response to information of inappropriate activity at the Baintertown Park located at C.R. 29 and C.R. 142,” the sheriff said in a prepared statement.
Hurst and Ramirez-Miramontes were charged with public indecency, a class A misdemeanor charge.
“The information is being provided so that the public is aware of the complaint and that if they observe any suspicious activity there to please contact the sheriff’s department. This type of activity will not be allowed to occur at our public parks and patrols and further investigations will be conducted,” Rogers said.
