Driver killed in Ind. 5 crash near Topeka

TOPEKA — A two-vehicle crash killed a Wolcottville man Monday west of Topeka.

Dead is Amos C. Yoder, 64.

The crash occurred shortly before noon on Ind. 5 at C.R 635 South. LaGrange County police said Yoder was driving north in a 2003 Chevrolet Venture. The vehicle crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a southbound 2007 Freightliner driven by Joseph R. Raeder, 22, Bristol.

Ind. 5 in the area of the crash site was closed for three and a half hours after the collision, police reported.
