BOIL ORDER: Nappanee issues citywide boil order

NAPPANEE — Nappanee officials have issued at citywide boil water order.

Nappanee experienced a malfunction at its water treatment facility at about 7:30 a.m. Monday morning, water utility Superintendent Gale Gerber stated in a press release. Water utility personnel are investigating the cause of the malfunction and water pressure is being restored.

Because of the loss of water pressure system wide, Gerber said, it was necessary to issue a citywide boil order.

Utility customers are asked to boil all water used for human consumption prior to use. The water utility will notify all customers when the boil order is lifted.

City officials said fire protection has not been compromised.

There has been discussion at West Goshen Elementary School to require mandatory student uniforms in the future. How do you feel about the prospect of mandatory student uniforms in a public school environment?

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
I think it’s a bad idea and would be restrictive for students and parents.
