Milford man arrested on drug charges this morning

The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force arrested a Milford man Wednesday for allegedly selling oxycodone to undercover officers.

Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers and Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested and preliminarily charged Shane A. Smith, 26, Milford, with felony dealing in a Schedule I controlled substance this morning.

Kosciusko County D.T.F. officers said that undercover units had made previous purchases of prescription medication from Smith while he resided in Syracuse. Smith is currently being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.

Kosciusko County Sheriff Rocky Goshert said that concerned residents in the community were instrumental in this arrest. He said that the public is encouraged to call the Kosciusko County TIP line at 574-372-2494, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to leave their anonymous information for any drug or criminal activity in Kosciusko County.
