An Elkhart teen was flown to a Michigan hospital after a wreck Saturday afternoon.
A Medflight helicopter was called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash at 12:50 p.m. Saturday at U.S. 33 and Sunnyside Avenue in Elkhart.
According to Elkhart County police, a 2010 Mini Cooper and a 2005 Chevy Avalanche truck crashed into each other, caving in the side of the Mini Cooper.
The front passenger in the Mini Cooper, Mark Rich, 14, Elkhart, was unresponsive and taken by Medflight to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Mich., with a possible head injury.
Darlene Eichelberger, 41, Goshen, was driving the Mini Cooper on Sunnyside Avenue and approaching U.S. Hwy 33 and disregarded the red light for southbound traffic and struck the truck driven by Barbara White, 44, Bristol.
Both drivers and another passenger were taken to Elkhart General Hospital.
White was treated for complaint of leg and back pain.
A rear seat passenger in the Mini Cooper, Benjamin Eichelberger, 13, complained of pain to the back and the driver, Eichelberger, was treated for back pain.
A Crash Investigation Team responded to the scene and the investigation is ongoing so no tickets were issued at the time.
