Goshen woman killed in crash

MIDDLEBURY — A two-vehicle crash south of Middlebury this morning killed a Goshen woman.

Dead is Arellano Eustolia, 40.

The collision occurred at 1:20 a.m. at Ind. 13 and C.R. 20. Elkhart County police said Eustolia was driving south on Ind. 13 in a 2011 Nissan Murano, preparing to turn east onto C.R. 20. Petra Tecpil, 36, Goshen, was driving south on Ind. 13, north of C.R. 20, in a 2003 GMC Yukon.

According to police, Tecpil was passing another vehicle and didn’t see Eustolia’s vehicle making the eastbound turn. The vehicles collided and spun out of the intersection.

Eustolia was transported by Medflight air ambulance to Memorial Hospital in South Bend and later died as a result of her injuries.

Tecpil suffered chest and ankle pain and was transported to a hospital.
