The death of a 72-year-old man who was found along C.R. 9 just north of U.S. 6 has been ruled as being from natural causes.
Elkhart County Sheriff’s Capt. Jim Bradberry said Tuesday evening that Elkhart County Coronor John White made the ruling of natural causes.
The man’s body was found along the west side of the road at 1:41 p.m. by Elkhart County Highway Department workers who were patching potholes along C.R. 9.
The man had left his nearby home to go for a walk shortly before he was found, according to Bradberry. The man’s name was not released because relatives were still being contacted.
