Beckner Drive water main shut down; boil order issued

GOSHEN — The City of Goshen will be shutting the water main down today, Thursday, Feb. 14, from 11 a.m. to noon for repairing a water main break on Beckner Drive between Green Road and Lynwood Drive. The state requires city officials to issue a water boil order for the affected area

After the repair of the water main, two consecutive water samples will need to be taken and analyzed for bacteria.  If they pass, the boil order will be lifted.  To determine if the boil is lifted, residents of the area will receive a flier in your door.  For further information call Mindy at 534-5306.

Residents should  not drink the water without boiling it first but they can take showers, baths, do laundry and flush toilets.  Dishwashers are ok if it has a sanitizing cycle, if not rinse with boiled or bottled water.
