Police to motorists: Slow down

Elkhart County police are urging motorists to slow down and be aware of icy conditions that still exist even though the temperature is rising. 

Sheriff's Department Capt. Jim Bradberry said that since 7 a.m. today, deputies have resonded to 12 crashes due to slick road conditions that are present on some county roads and subdivisions. 

Elkhart County Highway crews have been called out to apply salt and sand, according to Bradberry.
