Free carnival Saturday at Goshen church

GOSHEN — The public is invited to “celebrate summer” at Goshen City Church of the Brethren’s Carnival and Garage Sale, Saturday.

This free event includes: crafts, a waterslide, a bouncy house, games, Wiener Shack hotdogs, live folk music and desserts. There will also be a 50-foot-long inflatable obstacle course.  

This is the fourth year that City Church personnel have staged the event. The garage sale starts at 8 a.m.  and the carnival runs from 3 until 6 p.m.

Goshen City Church of the Brethren is located on the corner of Fifth and Clinton streets.

Last weekend (July 12) the Goshen Parks Department held its Kid’s Try-athlon to promote childhood fitness and this week (July 18) the new bicycle trail is open to the fairgrounds in Goshen, offering residents a healthy way to get to the annual agriculture exposition. Have you joined the local fitness movement?
