SOUTH BEND —

Police say three people have died in a crash in northern Indiana.

WNDU-TV and WSBT-TV reports the victims were riding in an SUV Sunday afternoon when it was struck by a minivan on U.S. 31 a few miles south of South Bend. A truck then struck the SUV.

The names of the victims were not immediately released. Police say two died at the scene and the other at a hospital.

Police say the minivan driver also went to a hospital with serious injuries, while the truck driver was treated at the scene.

Police say the minivan was speeding when it went left of center.
